A Valentine’s Day Love Shoot
Before the month of love comes to an end (seriously, where it 2013 going!?) we wanted to share the wedding stationery we designed for a Valentine’s day styled shoot dreamed up by the amazingly talented Dogwood Events. When we were asked to participate, the only answer was yes! And when we were told to not use the traditional colors and heart motif we’ve all come to associate Valentine’s day with, we were even more excited.
The shoot was held at the lovely Belmont Ridge Country Club in a room where there was a lovely mix of antique elements and modern decor. The color palette, which included the cobalt blue, was inspired by the murals in the room. The design was traditional yet with a modern and fun twist.
After seeing the vintage mirror with the gold frame that hung above the fireplace, that became a jumping off point for the design. Not only did that inspire the invitation design, it also was the perfect spot to include a fun love poem that gave life to the invitation and in turn inspired our star motif.
In case you missed it, all of the lovely details of this shoot were featured on United With Love! You can click HERE to see the beautiful images and read more about the entire shoot. Thank you to Kristen Gardner Photography for the beautiful images. The team that helped bring this idea to life was truly talented and we would love to work with them again.
