Font Friday {Block}

Hi friends. A happy Friday, indeed. I’m ready for this week to end. It was action-packed though, with my first ambulance ride earlier in the week. The good news is that I am fine and so is the baby….. but people need to learn how to drive!

Sorry for the blog silence this week, but it’s Friday… which means I HAD to do a Font Friday post! And today’s pick is one of my favorites. It’s grungy, but not really grungy. It’s chunky and fun. It can be edgy, works well for kids and all-in-all, fabulous. Meet Block!

I Shot the Serif

Happy Font Friday friends! I don’t know about you, but this week I needed a little font fun. It’s been a long week, so why not unwind with a little font game that has me completely addicted.

Meet I Shot the Serif! A genius game that any font loving person MUST play! Be warned: you WILL become addicted.

 

 

However, if you’re not in the know about your fonts, I’m here to help! Here’s a little diagram of what a serif font is, which is what you will want to shoot when you play the game. Remember, serif fonts contain letters that have the little “feet” on them. This should help before you dive in and test your knowledge and shooting skills.

 

And we want to hear what your high scores are! Report back and let us know how you did :)

Font Friday {Cursive}

Happy #Font Friday, peeps! (you like that Easter comment I just threw in there!? Huh, huh!?)

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week! We are thrilled that we’ve finally launched our new Maggie Collection this week and can’t wait to start fulfilling orders!

Font Friday {Word as Image}

Hi Font Friday friends!

Doesn’t it feel good knowing another work week is almost done? Here’s what’s on the agenda for us this weekend: trip to Ikea, starting/hopefully finalizing our Borrowed booth design for next Sunday! Wowza, it’s so soon. And we are SO excited! The Maggie Collection is gearing up for it’s grand debut, so, of course I have to give you another sneak peek :)

Now, onto FONT FRIDAY! This week I’m changing it up a bit. Instead of featuring one font, I thought I’d share this video a fellow designer friend shared with me. If you don’t think type can make a strong visual impact, check this out. It’s definitely cute and worth the watch. And, I’m interested to know, what’s your favorite word that’s illustrated? I think they are all genius!

Font Friday {Carolyna}

Happy Font Friday, peeps! Or should I say #fontfriday (are you following along on Twitter?!)

Oh we all know it’s our most favorite day of the week! And, with weather like we had the past few days, it definitely helped this week sail by.

Today’s #fontfriday pick falls into the “we’re still enjoying our script fonts” category. A few weeks ago, I saw some of the font friday peeps post about this fonts beefier brother, but I prefer the lighter, more dainty version. And I have to give a shout-out to my photographer friend, Abby, from Abby Grace Photography who wanted to use this font in her new marketing materials (how smart is she!?) She also said she couldn’t wait for me to feature it on Font Friday, so here we go!

Without further ado, meet Carolyna. Sweet and delicate, this font is so versatile for when you need a little fancy boost to your projects. AND, for some reason, I can’t help but think how it reminds me of an old envelope that’s beautifully addressed. Or, a fancy lemonade stand. (I totally used to sell lemonade in the front yard with my BFF, did you!?)

Font Friday {Bellucia}

It’s Friday… we made it! And it’s #Font Friday no less :)

My tastes for fonts come in spurts….. the past few Font Friday posts (this post and this post!) I’ve stayed away from the elegant script-like fonts. Just wasn’t feeling them, ya know? However, that’s all changing today when I introduce my latest obsession. A font with the most beautiful caps I ever did see. And, yes, this font just may make her appearance in our new Maggie Collection of wedding invitations, debuting April 1st.

Font Friday {Chubby/Chunky Caps}

Happy #Font Friday peeps! Only my most favorite day of the week :)

Today’s pick had two, self-imposed, parameters I had to stay within:

1. I had to choose a font I already owned, and
2. It needed to be fun! I’ve had my share of swirly scripts for a bit.

So, I started skimming my fonts and found this gem, which I had forgotten about. And now that I’ve had the chance to play with it again, it’s certainly unforgettable!

Meet Chubby/Chunky Caps! It totally reminds me of a little baby’s squishy cheeks…..
